New author website

Well, I have finally given in to marketing the demands of 21st century and now have a new author website: www.kristenghodsee.com.  Now that I am trying to do more popular writing, I've been advised that my academic web presence is "too boring" to attract readers.  On the one hand, I hate having to try to market myself in this way; it's like I'm capitulating to the demands of capitalism.  On the other hand, I want to reach more people, especially young people, and if they primarily engage online, I suppose I should be there, too.  Since I have sworn off almost all social media, this is my tiny attempt at having a virtual presence.
