Demonstrations in Jena, Germany

There were demonstrations in Jena last night.  One by the right wing party, Alternative for Germany (AfD), which was attended by about 700 people in the Marktplatz.  About 1500-2000 people attended counter demonstrations throughout the city, and the police had to call off the planned AfD march because they feared clashes between the two rival demonstrations.  Here are two photos from the counter-demonstration.  

The Einstein quote reads: "If my theory of relativity is proven successful, Germany will claim me as a German and France will declare me a citizen of the world. Should my theory prove untrue, France will say that I am a German, and Germany will declare that I am a Jew.”
