# New author website April 21, 2018 ![website](/sites/g/files/omnuum3566/files/styles/hwp_1_1__960x960_scale/public/kristenghodsee/files/ghodsee_website.jpg?itok=jfcEOXQb) Well, I have finally given in to marketing the demands of 21st century and now have a new author website: [www.kristenghodsee.com.&nbsp](http://www.kristenghodsee.com. ); Now that I am trying to do more popular writing, I've been advised that my academic web presence is "too boring" to attract readers. On the one hand, I hate having to try to market myself in this way; it's like I'm capitulating to the demands of capitalism. On the other hand, I want to reach more people, especially young people, and if they primarily engage online, I suppose I should be there, too.
