# Line Editing with my New Trobee Fountain Pen

February 09, 2017

It is snowing like hell here in Maine as we get pummeled by a vicious Nor'easter. Since I cannot leave the house, I'm using the day to line edit a manuscript that has been sitting around on my desk for far too long. It's the first time I've been able to use my newest Trobee fountain pen. After Mike Trobee disappeared for a while, I panicked and worried that I would never be able to get my hands on one of his handmade beauties again. And then out of the blue he got in touch, and sent me a gift certificate toward the purchase of a new one. How could I resist?

I picked out this gorgeous Casein pen with rhodium and 22 carat gold accents. It has an iridium-tipped German nib and is satisfyingly heavy in the hand. I've spent the last five hours doing line edits as the storm rages, and I can't even begin to rave enough about how smoothly this fountain pen writes. It somehow makes the grunt work of killing my darlings tolerable.
